I get the infamous message from my iPhone 5s that this device is not certified to work with the iPhone and may not work reliably. It does, however, charge the phone from my old dock, so I cant complain about that, but sometimes I have to make repeated efforts to get it to hook up without the message.

When I bought it, I was under the impression that this adapter can charge/sync and do A/V function as well. It turns out that it does not support audio/video function when attached to a iphone/ipod docking station. You may not know this from the descrioption of the product. So be aware.

I just filed a review which includes the other inexpensive 30 pin to lightning adapters which are available and then found that I can review this one separately.

This one is significantly better than the rest. It has a small ridge below the lightning connector which enables it to work with most iPhone cases and works well both with my iHome charger and 30 pin - usb sync cable. It is distinguished by its oval shape while the rest are rectangular.

I was worried about these after reading the reviews but, I ordered a couple anyway. I'm glad I did. We had several cords from our old iPhones that I didn't want to just get rid of. These little adapters work just fine. I keep one by the couch for when I'm watching tv and my phone battery starts to get low - I use it everyday. I haven't had any problem with them and we've been using them for a couple of months now.
